It's not an easy choice to make, particularly as every year BCOT offers new options in line with the developments and best practice in industry and commerce.

BCOT is an award winning College. We now have two Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) for Construction, and Retail and Associated Logistics. These departments won national CoVE status because they deliver the highest quality education and training for industry.

The College's Student Services department holds the national Matrix Award that guarantees you the best information, advice and guidance about learning and work - essential for making the right choices for your life after BCOT.

Most importantly, the college also holds the Training Quality Standard which is a national award for working with industry that is currently only held by 26 other organisations in England.

As you can see, what makes BCOT different is that we design our courses, workshops, laboratories and other facilities to be of industry standard.

This gives you the best start to your career, whether you leave us to go to university or to an apprenticeship.

We do also listen to YOU. Each year we twice consult all our students, involve them in focus groups, have them as representatives on all course teams and, at a 'Student Voices' event, provide the opportunity for you to talk frankly with me and other senior managers.
