Charles Burrell
We are making excellent progress as a school. Ofsted visited us in March 2006 and described us as “an improving school with a good capacity for further improvement”. We were described as good in terms of leadership and management, curriculum and care and guidance.
This year, in Summer 2007, we achieved our best ever examination results at Key Stage 4 in the history of the school, with a 17% improvement of 5 A*-C at GCSE on last year and a 15% improvement on the school’s previous best ever results.
Our contextual Value Added examination results are well above the national average and we are determined to keep challenging our students in order to raise standards.
