Clifton-upon-Dunsmore C of E Primary School
Clifton-upon-Dunsmore C. of E. (Voluntary Controlled) Primary School aims to provide a happy, stimulating and attractive environment through which children can endeavour to achieve the highest standards attainable. The ethos of the school is centred on Christian beliefs.
The children are encouraged to develop enquiring minds, self-respect, to show initiative and become independent learners. This is achieved by providing a curriculum which enables children to have experiences appropriate to individual needs while allowing for the maximum development of intellectual, physical and creative ability. Our curriculum is broad and balanced, based on practical and first-hand experiences. Children are encouraged to think logically and develop their problem solving and investigational skills. Particular emphasis is given to numeracy and literacy which are acknowledged as essential tools for learning.
Through our secure environment, pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence and self-esteem. The school endeavours to foster a spirit of co-operation, courtesy and a caring attitude towards others. Pupils are encouraged to accept responsibility for their own actions.
The Governors encourage and support all staff in order to allow them to give of their best and work together in the delivery of the curriculum.
We value the links between our school, Church and local community and continually aim to strengthen and develop them.
We believe that with the careful practice of these aims every member of our school will develop a willingness and desire to learn, work and enjoy school life to the full.Clifton-upon-Dunsmore C of E Primary School.
