 Beaufort School

Beaufort is a co-educational LEA day School for pupils aged 3-11 years who experience Severe Learning Difficulties, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Complex Learning Difficulties, including Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

The School is situated four miles to the east of Birmingham City centre. Many of the children live within two or three miles of the School but some travel from the north of the City and central areas of Birmingham.

Beaufort school has strong links with local mainstream primary schools and pupils have regular opportunities to participate in integrated activities promoting social and educational inclusion. The school is due to co-locate with Colebourne JI School in 2009. This has only been possible through close consultation with parents and the local community and parents are kept fully informed of developments through letters and regular meetings.
