Englefield Green Infant School and Nursery is committed to meeting the needs of individuals by creating a caring, stimulating and challenging environment, which enables everyone to fulfil their potential.
Englefield Freen Infant School and Nursery is a Surrey Infant school, catering for children between the ages of 4 and 7 years. It offers free Nursery provision, for children between the ages of 3 and 4 years.
The school itself was built in 1967 and is a modern building set in beautiful grounds. The accommodation consists of seven classrooms, which are light and airy and all of which lead directly onto an outside area. There is a large hall, a playground with a quiet area and a large tree-lined field. The extensive grounds include a trim trail, a pond area, a meadow land and an orchard. We also have a well-resourced modern Library and Communications Centre housing a computer suite.
The Governors of the school are committed to keeping class sizes as low as the budget allows and to providing classroom assistants wherever possible. We believe that this helps us to give children the individual attention our young children require as we strive for continuing high standards.
The Governing Body works closely with the Headteacher and Staff and meets twice termly. It delegates day to day administration of the school to the Headteacher and has committees which deal with Finance, Personnel issues, Building Maintenance, Curriculum and Planning.
