Established in 1897, NAHT is an independent trade union and professional association representing 28,000 members in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Members hold leadership positions in early years; primary; special and secondary schools; independent schools; sixth form and FE colleges; outdoor education centres; pupil referral units, social services establishments and other educational settings.
In order to provide an effective voice and service to members and to further the objects of the Association and its strategic plan the work is undertaken by three distinct sections: TUF (Trade Union Function), PPE (Politics, Policy, Education), CBG (Communication and Business Group).
