Entry to Employment Tutor, based in Southampton. Our client, a Further Education College is looking to recruit and E2E Training Consultant to be responsible for the recruitment, monitoring, retention and development of a caseload of young people experiencing barriers to learning, leading to individuals' progression into employment, an apprenticeship or FE.

Description of duties
Reporting to the e2e Team Leader, main duties:
* Recruit new companies to the provision of work placements for young people on the Entry to Employment Programme (e2e), offering a safe working environment, an appropriate range of work tasks in relation to the occupational development of the learner, adequate support and good quality employment policies and practices.
* Interview and recruit young people from a wide range of ability levels and social and cultural backgrounds and assess their suitability for the Entry to Employment programme, taking into account individual needs. Ensure that all relevant documentation for interviews is available and accurate
* Manage a full caseload of learners and provide advice, support and guidance on related issues to the relevant employers.
* Negotiate individual learning aims and monitor and review all aspects of the learners' e2e programme, both in-house and on the work placement. Track and record achievements, set challenging targets and conduct on-going assessments to identify further training needs.
* Make full use of management information available to monitor learner performance against the LSC contract and take appropriate action where required
* Attend career fairs, school visits or other events to promote programme as agreed with e2e Team Leader, and participate in evenings and promotional activities as required
* Maintain standards in line with current LSC, City Training and City College quality systems and carry out actions as indicated from quality audits
* Ensure all regulatory H&S standards related to the programmes are maintained by employers and ensure all contractual requirements are fulfilled at all times. Offer relevant H&S guidance and advice where applicable
* Ensure all agreed performance targets are met and maximised including achieving contractual learner and budget targets
Experience / Qualifications
Successful candidates will have the following knowledge, experience/specialist skills:
* The ability to provide own transport to travel around the area of Southampton.
* Experience or knowledge of Entry 2 Employment or other work based learning programmes.
* Understanding of the requirements of learners with support needs.
* Experience of motivating, developing and maintaining high levels of learner retention and achievement
* Evidence of developing and maintaining efficient tracking and recording systems
* Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own caseload to meet contractual deadlines and targets.
* Skills to organise day- to -day training activities to meet with the requirements of the LSC contract and the learners' individual aims and objectives.
* Ability to convey information and instructions to learners effectively, including those with communication difficulties
* Skills and understanding necessary for the preparation and completion of training plans, reviews, records, forms, basic reports, correspondence and/or other similar documentation.
It is extremely desirable for candidates to posses the following:
* Relevant Advanced Level qualifications or equivalent
* NEBOSHH,ENTO or other work related H&S qualification.
* Experience/knowledge of the assessment of employers to ensure compliance with SCT and LSC safety requirements.
* Skills and experience of liaising with staff and representatives of other organisations associated with the training programmes.
* Knowledge of Recruitment and training needs of local industries.
* General knowledge of appropriate support agencies for learners with behavioural/learning needs and those likely to work as a partnership.
Hours: Full Time - fixed term for 6 months
