Young Persons Guarantee - Work Focused Training Tutor

£17,420 to £19,449 per Annum MPS

Temporary Contract until 31st March 2011

Salary dependent on qualifications & experience.

Work Focused Training is a pre-employment training package for customers aged 18-24, which is designed to provide individuals with a route to enable change. This package will help them to develop required skills to successfully apply for and undertake job roles in occupational areas where job opportunities are available.

Training is focused on skills development. This may involve updating skills in a sector where the individual has previous experience or, where that sector is not recruiting, it may mean adapting an existing skills base to make the individual more employable in a related or different sector.

You will be responsible for producing schemes of work, course design, assessment and monitoring. You will carry out administrative tasks and maintain academic standards.

Proven experience of teaching is essential to deliver Employability Skills, plus units of NVQs. You will be at least Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified with experience of Employability Skills and Job Seeking for the unemployed.
