An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Team Leader within our established care home. If you have a desire and ability to make a difference and have worked with children and young people who present challenging behaviour and have emotional and physical needs then you may be the person we are looking for.

You must have
• An NVQ Level 3 – Children and Young People or equivalent or Graduate qualifications may be considered depending on subject areas.
• 2 years experience of working with Children and Young People or equivalent and also within a residential setting.

The successful applicant will
• Assist the manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the home and deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager.
• Provide a caring, supportive and nurturing environment in which children/ young people can feel secure and free from harm.
• To actively promote the child’s young person’s education by assisting with and encouraging school attendance, homework, school liaison, attending parents meetings/ PEP’s etc.
• Liaise with Local Authorities, School, Health and other professionals to achieve best outcomes for young people.
• Actively promote the Home’s equal opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice policies.
