Job Description

Capita Education (CER) is working with a catholic primary school in the South Birmingham area who is seeking a Level 3 qualified teaching assistant to support within their Year 6 class. It is essential that you have previous experience of supporting in Key Stage 2 and would be preferable if you have experience of supporting through Year 6 SATs. This role is to start as soon as possible on a full time basis until January 2016; this may extend further until the end of the academic year. You will be working alongside the class teacher to ensure the schools high standards are promoted across the classroom. The school are seeking somebody with a keen interest in providing intervention groups which would involve developing specific learning requirements in a small group or on a 1:1 basis. It is important for the school that you are fully involved in the planning and development of independent social and interpersonal skills and to undertake activities to support the personal, social and emotional needs of pupils.
