Do you have experience of teaching booster groups? Are you confident with KS2 Literacy and Numeracy? Can you encourage and push pupils to achieve? If so, we have the perfect role for you! This 1 form entry school in Durham are looking to appoint a part time booster teacher after half term until May 2017. This welcoming school within Durham are looking for a confident and calm teacher to join their KS2 team on a part time basis to help boost levels of pupils within their year 6 class. The role will begin after half term and will continue in to May 2017. The role may continue in to the next academic year for the right candidate. Ideally the school would like you to work 5 afternoons or mornings a week but may reduce this to suit the right candidate. Some of your duties will involve: Planning, assessing and marking pupils work on a daily basis in your groups Identifying areas of weakness in literacy and Numeracy and encouraging progress within these areas Working with the class teacher and feeding back areas of weakness so you can work together to differentiate lessons Assisting the class teacher with any other help that is required. To qualify for this role you must have prior experience of working with small groups and a proven track record of showing progress. The school would ideally like a qualified teacher but will accept applications from experienced HLTA's and Level 3 TA's. I have been working with this school for 3 years and although it is in a tough catchment area, the children are quite well behaved. Senior management and all staff are very helpful and will support their staff all the time.
