An experienced, caring and skilled teacher and trainer. Excellent subject knowledge of theatre and performing arts. Innovative and creative with good organisational skills and classroom management. 10 years experience working as a teacher and mentor in further education, secondary schools, primary and prison education. Worked in community education writing and devising workshops and courses. Specialist subject areas are Drama and Movement. An established performance artist since 1993, working with own theatre company for several years and then created a movement and drama therapy company in 2002 called Little Greendoor Community Theatre company. Recently worked as a teacher and trainer for a private organisation, training teachers and working with children therapeutically using expressive arts techniques. Working intensively for one month with participants on a theatre retreat
Running, facilitating and devising workshops on improvisation and devising theatre. The workshop was for adults 16 plus. The venue was in Valencia in Spain.

Teaching children aged 2 years to 11 years drama and movement; teaching improvisation techniques, storytelling, Greek and Medieval drama in accordance with the national curriculum. Working with children in small groups teaching playwriting techniques and creative writing. Preparing children for public performance and street theatre. Using drama techniques to help build group dynamics and to resolve conflict mainly using the techniques of Augustus Boal. Training teachers in London and abroad in expressive arts techniques, with focus on how the skills can be used in the classroom to build self-esteem. Working with Positive Discipline techniques to promote a happy classroom environment. Supporting teachers in the school with curriculum building and planning. Sunrise trust is an alternative education authority promoting and implementing yoga and meditation into the classroom. Taught yoga and movement to children in the form of games.

Manchester Adult Education
Worked with adults 16 plus using drama and self-development tools to help improve lifestyle. The adults where in a secure drug addiction unit. The lessons took place twice a week under a variety of themes. Using psychotherapeutic tools. Themes included, goal setting, yoga, drama therapy techniques, meditation. The course was wrote and delivered by myself.

Working as an artist co-ordinator and stage manager along with developing drama therapy for adults. The role requires project management of fund-raising events and self-development events. Managing other people and logistics. The events are often creative and the aim is self-development while other events are to raise awareness of disaster relief projects. I am stick involved with this company and work on a freelance basis.

Production of Drama Therapy events combining theatre with Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy. This is my own company and I promote and manage other therapists that want to run their own events. This is includes publicity, venue finding and managing logistics. I also run my own events using drama skills to promote healing.

Taking groups to examination standard via the National curriculum. On occasions picked up groups that where in crisis due to teacher shortage.
