The Bridge Academy

As Principal and Acting Principal of The Bridge Academy we are proud of what has been achieved so far.

Staff and students are now based in our exciting, new, landmark building next to the Regent’s Canal on Laburnum Street. We want parents and carers to be partners in a shared ambition to create a centre of excellence for learning.

Our specialist subjects, Music and Mathematics, sit alongside a broad and rich curriculum; the school timetable has been designed to create space on Fridays for special projects and enrichment activities, working with some of the most prestigious organisations in London such as Tate and the London Symphony Orchestra.


We are determined that every child who attends The Bridge Academy has the chance to develop their talents and abilities to the full in a culture of respect and exemplary behaviour.

We have a first-class team, and learning and teaching is stimulating, exciting and enjoyable. Students are ambassadors for the school, and we have a smart uniform and a clear policy on wearing it.

The Academy has invested a lot of time working in partnership with local primary schools to create the best possible experience for students moving on to
secondary school.

It means that our students have had the chance to get to know The Bridge Academy team before they arrive and the team is able to establish links with their parents as part of this.


By understanding every child individually, The Bridge Academy can really support them from the beginning of their time here.

As school leaders we also believe in strong
partnerships with local organisations and the wider community, and we have made rapid progress in establishing a number of these.
